Hello my beautiful people, it’s been a while so I thought it’s about time I wrote something.
It’s been a beautiful start to autumn in the UK with a lot of unexpected sunshine and so I thought it a perfect opportunity to enjoy some of my statement skirts. I absolutely love a skirt and have had an obsession of collecting unusual statement ones for a whole. So here are some of my favourites from one of my fav brands, Stella Jean. If you have not come across any of her stuff, then do check her out as you won’t be disappointed, she is a Haitian/Italian designer who designs the most beautiful tribal and wax print pieces. I definately am obsessed with all things Stella.
Check out two of her skirts that I purchased probably 5 years back, but are so timeless and should hold their worth and appeal for years to come.
A Stella piece is for life! I hope my daughter or niece will open a chest of my old favourites and fall in love with my so favoured Stella pieces 20 years from now😍
Ah yes, not forgetting my other favourite from a unique German designer called Odeeh😀If you love skirts then am your girl🙌🏽🥂
Hello beautiful people, how did you find the first signs of the UK chill this Sunday? I mean heaters were on and all things warm in my house.
I had a small family 60th birthday to attend, so I had to deal with all weather challenges fashionably, hence why I opted for this beautiful earthy terracotta orange brown in the form of a Zara jumpsuit I purchased from the end of their summer/resort season collection. For warmth, but still complimenting the Jumpsuit earthy tone, I matched up with a little piece I have had in my collection for a good five or so years. Yes the beautiful, striking alpaca cropped mohair jacket from this beautiful niche brand called Commuun. I high recommend checking out this wonderful edgy little powerhouse “Commuun” as they really have wonderful pieces that are both outstanding in design and quality.
For shoes I gravitated towards these leopard print calf hair pumps, I again purchased from KG say a decade ago. Yes I always call upon old pieces in my wardrobe to compliment new purchases as certain styles are just timeless and just keep getting recycled and reintroduced. Hence why I recommend buying well, my motto is,”don’t buy anything you can’t see yourself wearing ten years from now.”
I can definitely see myself rocking this whole look years from now😀🙌🏽. In the meantime happy new week ahead💋
Hello my beautiful people💋 Another bright Monday, so let’s keep our chins up and think of all things lovely.
Thought I would share a weekend update with you of the wonderful evening I enjoyed with the hubby😘
I opted for a Light white and pink stripy Sandro off the shoulder dress and paired up with blue & red statement heels from Malone Souliers.
I really adore these wedges and infact treat them like gold dust, for they only ever come out if I know for sure that walking will be minimal to ensure that they are unscathed. Sad right?
We went for dinner at no other than Hakkasan, Hanway Place and as usual it didn’t disappoint. Food was great, especially as both our palates have a fondness for Cantonese cuisine. Atmosphere also as expected 👌🏽🤩💫
Hello again my beautiful people, hope you’re all having a splendid Thursday looking forward to the end of another long hopefully productive week.
Now I am sure I am not alone when I state that Zara’s prints are off the hook this resort season. They are really pushing the creative boat out and outperforming all other fast fashion high street brands in the print trend this resort season, by bringing us beautiful prints at great prices! Being a fan of statement prints and knowing how much you have to pay for a designer equivalent, I salute and say keep up the good work Zara🙌🏽
Here are a few of my favourite prints from Zara for this post summer resort season:The statement chain print blouse is from Zara! Yes it’s not silk, polyester but who cares? Pair it up as I have done with a mini skirt such as this moss green wool one from Cos, Sophia Webster statement heels again in Suede moss green too and you’re popping! It looks like silk now doesn’t it! It’s all about how you can wear it, we all know that😀 Not forgetting the Fedora to add a little something extra👌🏽
Below is another scarf print dress I recently purchased from Zara’s resort season paired up with cheap and cheerful sunnies from & Other Stories:
Last but not least is one of my current favs, this beautiful woven print multicoloured maxi again from Zara:
What trend are you loving currently in the high street? Have a good day beauts…💋
Happy summer days everybody! It’s been a while since my last post, work and everything life got in the way. Anyway I really wanted to do a post on fuchsia being an unlikely hot summer colour. It really is a colour that can pop on all skin tones, bringing on that wow factor especially in chiffon, silk or anything airy and floaty.
It just so happened that I had a summer wedding garden party to attend this weekend, so I thought this the perfect setting for my beloved Temperley pleated maxi chiffon dress in no other colour but fuchsia
Temperley Pleated Chiffon Maxi in Fuschia
I mean I just love the whimsical feeling this fuchsia maxi brings on!
Do you have a maxi dress in a colour that takes you to wonderland? If not then it’s never too late to invest in one or two💋.
Accessories: Bag/Sandro My Lou Bag (current season) and Shoes/Markus Lupfer platforms.
Hello again, a glorious week so far with those beautiful sun rays we have all been waiting for finally beaming down. I mean what else can one ask for living in the UK, well that and the England football team making it to the quarter final of the world cup, at least🙏🏽.
Summer seems to be officially here as we brace ourselves for the heat wave this week. I am sure I am not alone when I say we welcome the sizzling temperatures come what may and I for one will be joining ladies everywhere and rocking all those wonderful summer hues. Wednesday felt perfectly suited to throw on a light blue pleated Sandro dress.
Dress: Sandro Keep on Dancing Floaty Printeddress
This dress is a current season Sandro, both quaint and quirky with hints of dark pink/light red writing “keep dancing” and tiny polka dot details. It really is a super cool versatile dress that can be worn from day to night, to the park with flats, dinner with pointed pumps or simply pair as I have done with black and off white striped espadrille wedges from J.Crew.
Hello again! Hope we are all making the most of the sunny weather this weekend, I certainly will be!
I ended the working week on a high note with a girly dinner date, strutting my stuff in the lovely ”meru wrap jumpsuit” from a wonderful boho chic ethical label called “A Piece Apart.”
Now being a lady with curves, it is really quite the challenge to find a well made jumpsuit that can easily manoeuvre around those corners and turns. Yes it really is no different to a racing circuit😀. I mean I don’t know about you guys, but when you’re an extreme hr glass shape, off the peg jumpsuits majority of the time won’t make it past the thighs let alone bottom🤭.
Anyway all hail to “A Piece Apart” for this beautiful creation that despite being mainly linen is blended with a flexible Tencel material making it a little bit stretchable. The self tie waist belt is for that very cinched look I usually opt for to create that “am all woman”sexy silhouette. I mean if you don’t feel great after wearing a piece like this, then I don’t know!💋
